Thomas Ingram Hill Celebrates First Podium and Challenge Cup Victory in Breakthrough Mid-Season Campaign

Donington Park, UK – 11 September 2025 – British single-seater driver Thomas Ingram Hill continues to make his mark in his debut campaigns with Fortec Motorsport, scoring his first overall podium at Silverstone and following it up with a Challenge Cup victory at Donington Park.

Strongest points haul weekend at Silverstone

At Silverstone, Tom delivered his strongest weekend to date. Following an intensive training programme at Drivers Lab, he topped all three Thursday test sessions, scored finishes of P2, P4 and P4, and set the fastest lap of the weekend.

At Oulton Park, he demonstrated resilience in changing conditions, leading the race on wet tyres before finishing P6 as the circuit dried. Earlier at Brands Hatch GP, mechanical issues restricted running, underlining both the challenges of the category and his adaptability under pressure.

Donington Park (31 August) brought another highlight to the young Brit’s season. Despite qualifying P20 and P17, he fought through the field to finish P11 in Race 1 and P12 in Race 2, securing his first Challenge Cup win. Race 3 ended in disappointment after a collision forced him to retire, but the weekend once again showcased his fighting spirit and ability to capitalise on opportunities.

Growth On and Off the Track

Thomas preparing for a race

Ingram Hill has shown clear progression in every aspect of his development this year. His racecraft and consistency have improved significantly, with stronger qualifying pace and more confident overtaking. Away from the track, he continues to refine his preparation through simulator sessions with Drivers Lab, combined with physical conditioning work with Pinnacle Performance and Formula 2 Perform, alongisde regular mental coaching with Enzo Mucci.

Technically, he benefits from the close guidance of driver coach Duncan Tappy, who previously worked with Lando Norris in British F4, as well as renowned driver trainer Rob Wilson. Alongside this, the support of Prosperity Investment Management has played an important role in sustaining his racing programme and development throughout the season.

Eyes on the Final Rounds

Currently sitting joint-7th in the GB4 standings, Ingram Hill remains on course to achieve his pre-season target of a Top-10 finish, while pushing for further top-6 results across the remaining rounds.

Remaining races include:
- 21 September – Silverstone (British F4)
- 5 October – Donington Park GP (GB4)
- 30 November – Dubai (F4 Trophy)

Winter running in the F4 Middle East Trophy is also under consideration, with longer-term 2026 plans to be announced in due course.

Podium finish at GB4 Silverstone

Thomas Ingram Hill commented “The highlight for me has definitely been the podium at Silverstone. It was an amazing feeling to see all the hard work pay off in that moment. Stepping into an F4 car on the F1 weekend at Silverstone was also a really special experience — one I’ll never forget.”

“The toughest race for me was Oulton Park. I had exams building up at the same time, which limited my preparation and track time. On top of that, I hadn’t done as much testing compared to some of the other drivers, so it was a real challenge to catch up and perform — but I’m still proud that I was able to lead a race and score strong points.”

“Going into the final rounds, it’s definitely more motivation than pressure. I feel like I’ve got everything to gain in terms of learning and building experience. My goal is to finish the season strongly and set myself up in the best possible place for next year.”

Dan & Thomas

Dan Wells, Thomas’s manager continued: “Thomas has taken some really positive steps forward this season. His progress in both confidence and racecraft has been clear to see, and his first podium was a fantastic milestone that reflected the hard work he’s been putting in on and off the track. There are still areas we’re focused on developing — particularly consistency over a full weekend — but the foundations are strong. We’re excited to see how he builds on this momentum in the second half of the season to build a championship campaign in 2026”
